Armbrok and Keron Development Foundation have launched the construction of a new public playground in Khachkar Park, located next to Republic Square. The 800 sq.m. area, previously used as a parking lot, is being returned to the park and transformed into a creative and inclusive space designed for children aged 0–7.
The playground, entitled “Memory of the Tree of Life: Dragon Carpet”, is inspired by traditional Armenian carpet patterns and symbols, turning the entire space into a world of imagination and creativity. It will fully comply with international standards and is expected to be ready by the end of the year.
Partnership for Public Spaces
This is the second project within the joint initiative of the Keron Foundation and Kentron Administrative District to develop children’s playgrounds, and it is being realized with Armbrok’s support. The first project — “Karmrakhayt: Secrets of the Hidden River” — was inaugurated on September 21 in the Circular Park on Armenia’s Independence Day.
Voices on Cooperation
Vanané Ararktsyan, Executive Director of the Keron Foundation, stated, “I am grateful to Armbrok for joining us in this project. I am confident that our cooperation will set a positive precedent and encourage other organizations to take part in similar public initiatives.”
Armbrok CEO Aram Kayfajyan added:
“We are delighted to contribute to the creation of this playground. It is vital for the city and the country to have comfortable and beautiful environments not only for residents and children but also for visitors. We hope this project will inspire continuity, and that many more playgrounds meeting international standards will soon appear in Armenia.”
Inclusive and Safe Environment
The new playground is designed to be inclusive, providing equal opportunities for all children, regardless of their physical abilities. It will encourage imagination, develop motor and social skills, and create a safe and inspiring space for children and parents to enjoy together.
Armbrok Investment Company is regulated by the Central Bank of Armenia.
